ABOUT

Governance

Kent Gymnastics Association aims to actively encourage and promote gymnastics and trampolining at all levels and in all disciplines throughout Kent. We want to ensure more children, young people and adults from all backgrounds, abilities and communities can become involved with gymnastics.

Aims + Objectives

The Kent Gymnastics Association (KGA) committees work with the Kent Development Officer to:

Organise Competitions at all levels throughout the year.

Organise of County Squads selection and training sessions.

Hold regular Coaching and Judging courses.

Hold specific courses and workshops on issues like ‘Child Protection’ and ‘First Aid’.

Assist new clubs with organisation and information.

Assist established clubs with information on Grants and Funding.

Assist clubs, schools and Leisure Centres to ‘Link-up’.

Produce and implement a Five Year Development Plan to give the sport direction within the region of Kent.

Our Board

The Kent Gymnastics Association is administered by an annually elected County Board with Technical Committees for each gymnastics discipline. Our board members, chaired by Geoff Turner, are from a range of backgrounds, and appointed because of their skills, expertise and passion for the sport.

The Executive Committee help decide upon priorities for the organisation and monitors progress to make sure that it meets it’s targets and maintains high standards.
