Recent success of Meapa WA Gymnasts at the British Championships

Meapa Gymnastics was lucky enough to have 4 gymnasts competing at this year’s British Championships.

On Thursday, Lexi Green and Lyla Terry competed in the Aspire competition. Lexi had a clean competition, caught her release on bars, and scored a PB on the beam to finish 31st. Lyla started her competition strong with a stunning clean beam, a new tumble on the floor, and a great landing on the vault to finish closely behind Lexi in 32nd place!

On Friday, Darcey Cross and Isabelle Priestley performed in the junior competition. This was Darcey’s first British Championships after a long breakthrough injury. She performed a stunning floor, clean beam, and swung bars beautifully. She placed 60th in a strong field. Isabelle had a mixed day, with a couple of errors but an outstanding vault performance secured her a position in the vault final on the Sunday. She arrived Sunday thoroughly excited to be competing in the finals with the best gymnasts in GB. She stuck both her vaults beautifully and after a nervous wait was crowned the Junior Vault British Champion!

We are incredibly proud of all our gymnasts that competed.
